Our Team of Stylists
My name is Leah Jordan, I am the owner of Studio 303 Salon and Boutique. Thanks for checking us out!
I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, and I moved to Denver in July 2013. I've been in the Beauty and Fashion industry since 2001. I am a corrective color and Fusion hair extension expert. I love sets and old Hollywood styling, so weddings are my favorite days!
During the last 9 years that I lived in NY, I worked as a Color and Style educator for Joico and Iso, professional hair color companies. My passion has been in education since very early in my career. I love to watch other artists master their craft and pass along what I have learned from my mentors over the years.
The excitement that comes with hair shows and editorial photo shoots is something that I cannot wait for all our stylists to experience!
This industry has allowed me to make people happy for living and to have a creative outlet everyday. I see women leave my chair feeling more sultry and confident than ever, and it is so rewarding. I love helping women see the beauty that I see in them and empowering them by teaching them how to recreate the looks that we have designed together!
Mary Jo Petersen
Salon Manager and Stylist
Mary Jo’s passion for the industry began at a young age. She always looked forward to the days she got to go with her mom to the salon, she would watch with awe while the stylist transformed her mother’s hair. As she grew up, the pleasure of being in a salon never faded and she soon realized she belonged behind the chair. Mary Jo is most happy in a salon! She attended Emily Griffith Technical College in Downtown Denver and looks forward to continuing her education every chance she gets. Mary Jo has been doing hair for two years. Mary Jo loves to transform someone’s look with color, the more dramatic the better! She believes there’s something really special about providing services that enhance a person’s outer beauty to reflect the confidence and spirit within.
Mary Jo is a Colorado native. She loves to dance and does it at every possible opportunity, whether it be a ballet class, a live show, or at her salon chair. Mary Jo spent 18 years dancing competitively and believes her love for the arts can be attributed to that. She also enjoys yoga and traveling. Mary Jo has a beautiful Siamese cat named Freddie Meowcury after the lead singer of the band Queen. You guessed it- Mary Jo loves dancing to Queen!
Heidi has lived in Denver since 2014. She has always been drawn to beauty through hair, makeup and fashion. When Heidi was young, she loved playing with her mom's brushes, blow dryer, using her makeup and putting on her high heels that were far too big for her. It became a passion of Heidi's when she graduated high school and decided to pursue a career in cosmetology. Heidi believes that beauty has two objectives; to appear beautiful and to truly feel beautiful.
Making people feel amazing is why Heidi entered this industry. Her favorite part about doing hair is seeing the smile and light in a person's eyes when you make their dreams come true. You can change someone's entire day, week or life by doing something awesome to their hair!
Cutting hair is Heidi's passion. She has always loved using a razor to create gorgeous, soft and textured shape in hair. By carving away the past and lifting away old weight, Heidi can tailor a haircut perfectly for anyone.
Heidi spends her leisure time hiking, painting, cooking, going to music festivals and spending time with her friends. Heidi also loves hula hooping, being in a book club, adventuring, traveling and snuggling her black cat Lucca, because he is her pride and joy! Heidi has a beautiful ability to make friends with anyone. Come spend time in her chair and make a new friend today!
Alexis grew up in Texas, but has lived in Colorado for the past 10 years. She first became interested in hair back in high school when she got her hair professionally colored for the first time at a cosmetology school. After that, she knew that being in the beauty industry was the right path for her. Alexis loves to do any and all blonding services, but she especially loves big transformations. She believes that everyone has a right to feel beautiful, so her goal is to help everyone who sits in her chair to feel amazing by the time they leave!
In her free time, Alexis likes to go thrifting, and make crafty earrings out of pom poms and clay. You’ll also find her and her friends going to parks for picnics when the weather is good!
Alexis has been with her partner for over two years, and they have a cat together named Colfax!
